Survival Georgian Testimonials

My wife and I read with great delight your internet offering of "Survival Georgian." In March we had a very special experience trying to learn the bare necessities in Georgian--enough to adopt our two beautiful daughters. Fortunately, we were able to find some Georgian friends who taught us about 20 words, but, we sure wish we would have had your works then. Sidney W.

My wife and I were in Tbilisi last November. We adopted a baby girl from there...It's a beautiful country with a rich history and culture that we hope to pass on to our daughter when she is older. The phrasebook will help in her education I'm sure. Raymond B.

I should like to congratulate you on "Survival Georgian." You have been clever in judging the needs of a visitor to Georgia with little time to learn the language more thoroughly. Nadia E.

This year we were fortunate to host a dance company from Georgia. Two of the dancers stayed in my home and I have been wondering how I ever might be able to write to them... Larry H.

Thank you for all of the great Georgian material... We do plan to go back and visit Tbilisi some day and your language guide will be of great assistance! Meg R.

My wife and I are preparing for a trip to Tbilisi this summer. We were excited to learn about your "Survival Georgian" phrasebook. It sounds like just what we need. Thanks! Peter E.

I am so very glad to have found that you offer a phrase book of Georgian! I think I have been to probably 20 different bookstores looking for a Georgian-English book of some sort and had not yet found one until I found you on the net. Alison P.

It did indeed help me survive, and I had an extremely interesting time in and around Tbilisi. Peter C.

"Survival Georgian" was immensely helpful. [My friends] in particular learned the alphabet and I believe a fair amount of the book. [They] actually got rather interested in studying the language, but they were unable to find any broader-coverage texts (in fact, [they] said that books written in Georgian, as opposed to Russian, were hard to find), which made "Survival Georgian" even more valuable. And the fact that they came armed with "Survival Georgian" and a Georgian-English dictionary impressed the local people with whom they interacted.

The advice that you provided, which I added to from my own travel experience, even though I have been only to less exotic countries than you have, was also useful. After they had been there a week, Georgians were walking up to them on the street and asking them directions in Georgian. So please accept their (and my!) thanks for having made the book available, and for your other advice as well. Neal O.
